What is keeping me sane these days

This is my third week of WFH and I’ll be honest, I’m feeling much differently towards it than I was last week. Last week I was loving sleeping in, going for long walks and online shopping. I was emailing co-workers joking how we couldn’t imagine going back to the old grind, waking up early traveling a couple days a week, being stuck at our desks. Then this morning it felt like it all hit me at once. Both my BF and myself had those dreaded company calls this afternoon, you know, the ones with the word “furlough” in them. I had no idea what that word even meant a week ago. Thankfully we both still have our jobs and work for companies that are avoiding this, but it put a lot into perspective. I know we all cope with situations like this differently but I am adding below all ways that have helped me keep my zen and also put a smile on my face.

This. Is. My. Favorite. Candle. Ever. Now that we’re home and its been lit 24/7 I think I’m going to need to order a couple more for stock.

I know changing your whole life around for the better is not a necessity during this time of crisis, but this product definitely makes me feel better about myself after I use it. I can truly see a difference that this facial makes. To be perfectly honest, I love every product on this line and highly recommend.

Continuing with my favorite beauty products is the above, Olaplex No. 3. This is a leave in hair mask that requires a minimum of 10 minutes, left in hair from root to ends, however since it’s just me and the BF and no one is using their cameras during WebEx meetings, I’ve been leaving this baby in all day. My hair is shinier and thicker from the whole line of Olaplex products. Thank you Erin my hairstylist for introducing me to this brand ❤ Another great substitute though is coconut oil!

I don’t know about you, but nothing feels better than having your hair out of your face, especially now when I don’t have to get ready each morning, these scrunchies have become my best friend.

Having a pretty notebook makes any workday better and since I am still working the majority of the day, I figured I’d share my favorite. Appointed Notebooks are made in Washington D.C. and come in the prettiest linen covers. You can choose between gridded, lined and blank pages and the best part is that you can add a monogram to each cover. I have now gone through 5 and will never buy a different notebook ever again.

Romantic Dresses

Emma, 2020

With the upcoming rendition of Jane Austen’s Emma, lately I have been day dreaming about period costumes. What is it about these dresses and gowns that sing spring? From Sophia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette to Pride and Prejudice, all are splashed with the most feminine fabrications in pale shades of yellow, blush and cream. Delicate embroidery, ruffles and bows, all make living in the 18th and 19th centuries seem so dreamy. See below for my picks of the most romantic dresses for spring in the 21st Century.
